Paul Verrastro, CEO of The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services (CARS), has a remarkable passion for leading a center that helps couples dealing with infertility challenges achieve a successful pregnancy. Verrastro’s passion coupled with his compassionate management style are key ingredients to the success of the center, which is ranked as one of the top fertility centers in Connecticut, measured by live births.
Verrastro takes great pride in his work at CARS. "I always say to people, this center is like my child," Verrastro comments. "I'm really protective of it, I'm really proud of it, I try to make sure everybody does right by it because it provides such a critical mission to people."
Promoted to CEO last year from his former role of chief operating officer, Verrastro has been working at the Farmington-based fertility center for almost 20 years. Prior to joining the center, Verrastro worked as a practice coordinator and women’s practice administrator at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City.
The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services, an academic affiliate of the UCONN School of Medicine, has been responsible for 12,000-plus live births since 1982. The center works hard to stay up-to-date with industry trends, providing options such as egg freezing, elective single embryo transfer, and advanced genetic testing to its patients. CARS is also a close affiliate of Women’s Health Connecticut, with many of our providers referring patients there for fertility services.
