Bessie A. Montesano, M.D.
Dr. Montesano received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from New York University in 1977. She earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Montesano completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at North Shore University Hospital, the teaching center of Cornell University Medical School, in 1985.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Montesano is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also completed a Galloway fellowship at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital. Other professional credentials include membership in the Connecticut State Medical Society, the Fairfield County Medical Association and the American Medical Association. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Danbury Hospital. Dr. Montesano who is fluent in Greek, joined Physicians for Women in 1985.
