The Center for Women's Health
To Our Patients:
The Center for Women’s Health has important news about a reorganization of our practice which will go into effect on June 1, 2017.
After more than 30 years in the Waterbury community, Dr. John Lewis will be moving to Massachusetts where he hopes to use all that he’s learned from his patients and colleagues to make a positive impact on women’s health. He’s found it a special privilege and honor to be present during so many important life events and milestones of his patients and their families. He will miss them. We congratulate him as he joins the ranks of partners Drs. Fred Cohn, Anne McNulty and Clare Ventre in retirement from active obstetric and gynecologic practice in Waterbury.
Dr. Molly Shipman is transitioning to the Hartford area, to Woodland Women’s Health Associates, allowing for more time with her family and an opportunity to teach new physicians. Though excited for her new endeavors, it is with much sorrow that she leaves the wonderful people she has come to care for in the greater Waterbury area. She feels grateful to have been of service to this dynamic and supportive community these last 5 years. To reach Dr. Shipman, call 860-728-1212.
In continuing to serve our patients, with excellent gynecological care, Dr. Marcia Tejeda and Dr. Mary Zozulin will merge their practice with our present partners at Westwood Women’s Health, located at 60 Westwood Avenue, Suite 200, on the 2nd floor, creating a comprehensive gynecology practice. Complete gynecological services will be offered for women and adolescents through all phases of life, including robotic surgical services. Though sad to say goodbye to obstetrics, both Drs. Tejeda and Zozulin are delighted to be able to focus their energies on providing gynecologic care to the women of our practice with the skilled and knowledgeable doctors of Westwood Women’s Health. The new phone number will be 203-574-5501 for appointments.
Dr. Joseph David Millerick will continue to provide full obstetric and gynecologic services with our new partners at Specialists in Women’s Health Care located at 134 Grandview Avenue Suite 210, in Waterbury. He will continue to provide outstanding comprehensive obstetrical management and full gynecological care, including robotic surgical services, with the wonderful doctors of this practice. His new phone number will be 203-754-2535.
Dr. Jonathan Foster will remain in suite 100 at 60 Westwood Avenue, and continue to provide the excellent and skillful care you have come to know and rely on over the many years. He too will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women through all phases of life, including robotic surgical services. To reach Dr. Foster, please call 203-573-1425.
Once again, these changes will take effect on June 1st. Until then, we will continue to provide medical care at our present location and number. There is no need to request medical records as we are all partners in our state wide group, WOMEN’S HEALTH CONNECTICUT and all use the same electronic medical record system, Athena Health.
We thank you for your patience and continued support during this time of change. Drs. Foster, Millerick, Tejeda, and Zozulin consider it a privilege to continue to service the medical needs of this community with the compassion, intelligence, and skill you have come to know and expect. Although we will miss being together in one space, we look forward to working with our partners in our new environments.
