Specialists in Women's Healthcare, a division of Physicians for Women’s Health and an affiliate of Women’s Health Connecticut, is seeking an experienced Clinical Manager in Waterbury, CT!

Position: Clinical Manager
Location: Specialists in Women's Healthcare

Employment: Full-time, 32 hours per week
Schedule: Monday- Friday

The Clinical Manager will be a member of the care team and will work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff, and is responsible for assisting in the promotion of the health and well-being of patients.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Practice Manager and Providers to identify operational problems and strives to resolve these in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensures an appropriate environment for the administration of health care by assuring that all work areas are kept in a clean, safe, orderly fashion
  • Responsible for monitoring, inspecting and reporting safety hazards, facility needs and recommended improvements
  • Manages clinical Medical Assistants and oversees laboratory staff and operations
  • Understands, promotes and educated clinical staff on all policies and clinical protocols
  • Collaborates with Clinical Trainer to coordinate training for clinical staff as necessary, based on needs and established protocols.
  • Responsible for clerical and clinical ordering of supplies/equipment according to purchasing policies, monitors utilization of supplies and oversees spending to assure budgets within limits
  • Ensures the medical operation at the practice is running a smoothly as possible
  • Update patient medical records with the most recent medical treatments
  • Educates patients and their families on available treatment option
  • Assist front desk and medical assistant staff if needed


  • 2+ years’ supervisory experience within a hospital, medical facility or physician office setting required. (Ob/Gyn or Women’s Health specialty preferred)
  • Valid Registered Nurse and/or LPN License, is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills and experience in EHR electronic scheduling system
  • Professional communication and the ability to get along well with others.
  • Enhanced attention to detail.
