Appointment Scheduler
Women's Health Connecticut is seeking an Appointment Scheduler to support our fast-paced OB/GYN office in West Hartford!
Position: Appointment Scheduler
Location: Greater Hartford Women's Health Associates
Address: 345 North Main Street, Suite 201. West Hartford, CT 06117 (with required travel to the Enfield and Glastonbury offices, as needed)
Hours/Schedule: Monday- Friday
Employment type: Full-time, 40 hrs per week
Position Summary: The Appointment Scheduler position schedules patient appointments for the Providers by phone, in-person and through electronic messaging. The ideal candidate for this opening has call-center experience and is familiar with working at a fast-pace, while paying close attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records in the appointment system
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth scheduling and efficient patient flow
- Follow established protocols for handling emergency calls and directing patients to the appropriate resources
Experience:
- Previous experience front desk/receptionist role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with phone systems and appointment scheduling software.
- Previous EMR experience, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations, such as emergencies.
