Women's Health Connecticut is seeking a full-time, Clinical Manager for our fast-paced Ob/Gyn office in Waterbury, CT!

Position: Clinical Manager
Location: Specialist in Women's Healthcare

Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00a- 5:00p

Job Overview: The Clinical Manager oversees the daily operations of the clinical- back office. This includes, but is not limited to, managing clinical staff and scheduling, training and onboarding new clinical employees, and auditing and communicating clinical needs to Leadership. The Clinical Manager is a key member of the Clinical Staff Team.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Practice Manager and Providers to identify operational problems and strives to resolve these in a professional and timely manner
  • Works as a team member with clinical staff to facilitate daily work loads
  • Ensures an appropriate environment for the administration of health care by assuring that all work areas are kept in a clean, safe, orderly fashion
  • Responsible for monitoring, inspecting and reporting safety hazards, facility needs and recommended improvements
  • Manages clinical Medical Assistants and oversees laboratory staff and operations
  • Understands, promotes and educates clinical staff on all policies and clinical protocols
  • Coordinates training for clinical staff as necessary, based on needs and established protocols.
  • Ensures the medical operation at the practice is running a smoothly as possible
  • Oversees the clinical assessments of patients including, but not limited to OB intakes, coordinating OB high risk appointments, and diagnostic testing follow up
  • Assists nursing and medical assistant staff as needed.
  • Assists in the development and management of new office procedures, including in office surgical procedures.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience within a hospital, medical facility or physician office setting preferred (Ob/Gyn or Women’s Health specialty preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and experience in EHR electronic scheduling system
