Women's Health Connecticut- OB & GYN is seeking to hire a Part-time, Injection Nurse (LPN) at our fast-paced practice in Trumbull/Shelton!

Position Summary: The role of our Injection Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for administering injections, including vaccines and medications. They ensure patient safety by following proper protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions, and educating patients on aftercare. The Injection Nurse will collaborate with medical teams to provide efficient and compassionate care. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to infection control standards, and excellent patient communication skills.

Job Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments
• Administer prescribed patient’s medication, treatments and therapies according to physician’s orders and practice protocols.
• Educate patients on the purpose, potential side effects, and aftercare of injections.
• Coordinate care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
• Assist with designated Athena buckets as time allows to support efficient workflow.
• Maintain clear communication with other members of the patients' multi-disciplinary team.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families, ensuring they feel informed and cared for.
• Follow strict infection control and medication safety protocols.

Skills/qualifications:

• Current state issued LPN license
• Current CPR certification
• Electronic Medical Record experience
• 1 year LPN experience, OBGYN preferred
• Ability to travel between multiple practice locations: Trumbull, Shelton and Fairfield
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
