Employment: Full-time, 40hrs per week
Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 8:00a- 5:00p Friday, 7:00am- 3:30pm
Reports to: Lead Physician
Position Summary: The Practice Manager is a key member of the management team, which includes Partner Physicians, Clinical staff and Operation management. The Practice Manager position requires progressive management experience in a medical office setting with at least two-years in a position directly responsible for medical practice administration and/or quality improvement initiatives in Obstetrics & Gynecology. The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall operations, development and success of the practice. In this important role, the Practice Manager will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, physicians and staff.
Position Responsibilities & Duties:
- Effectively communicate with Physicians, Health Insurance Representatives, and other Healthcare professionals.
- Interview, hire and train new staff in accordance with HR guidelines.
- Address staff issues and conduct regular performance reviews in accordance with HR guidelines.
- Oversee daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practice.
- Oversee the selection and ordering of supplies.
- Regularly review productivity and make staffing adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and approve timecards.
- Ensure the business needs of the practice are met and actively work to recruit new patients.
- Responsible for executing projects/changes as directed by the Physicians and/or the organization.
- Review annual/monthly budget and manages practice expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Responsible for facilities and premises management.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures.
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
- Two + years of experience in a medical office management, preferably an OB/GYN practice setting.
- Five + years of managing staff in some capacity.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Solid understanding of medical office billing processes, is preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, included Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
