Women's Health Connecticut is seeking to hire a Part-time, Registered Nurse to our fast-paced practice in West Hartford!
Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Greater Hartford Women's Health Associates
Address: 345 North Main Street, West Hartford, CT 06117 (with flexibility to commute to the Glastonbury and Enfield offices as needed)
Employment Type: Part-time, 32 hours per week
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00a- 5:00p
Reports to: Practice Manager
Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates patient care, educates and advises patients and gives emotional support to patients and their families. The RN is hands on with performing physically examinations and diagnostic tests, helping perform minor in-office procedures, collect lab work and triage phone calls for the Providers.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Nursing liaison between patients and health care professionals
- Patient history intake/ assessment and preparation
- Assist physicians as needed during patient visits with physical exam or procedures
- Advise patients of recommended actions/course of treatment as directed by physicians
- Medication administration
- Lab assessment/data collection
- Document patient care and results in medical record in concise and timely manner
- Advanced telephone triage functions
Skills/qualifications:
- Current CT RN license
- Minimum of 1-2 years OB/GYN or Women’s Health nursing experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and focus on details
