Iyanna Liles, MD joined the team at Comprehensive Gynecology of CT, a Women’s Health Connecticut practice, in 2021. Dr. Liles obtained her bachelor’s degree from Duke University in 2010 and earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 2014. She then completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at the University of Connecticut in 2018.

Dr. Liles chose to become a women's healthcare provider because as a Black woman, she was dissatisfied with the healthcare system and wanted to assist all patients, including Black patients, in making informed healthcare decisions. Dr. Liles actively participates in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, holding past positions such as the Connecticut Junior Fellow Chair and District I Junior Fellow Chair. She participated in several legislative sessions giving testimony and/or meeting with legislators, and also volunteers with the Connecticut Maternal Mortality Review Committee as a general ObGyn physician providing feedback on ways to improve maternal care in the state. 

Dr. Liles has special interests in minimally invasive surgery, family planning, adolescent health, advocacy, and health equity. She cares for patients of all ages in Hamden.

When not at work, she enjoys baking and escape room adventures. Dr. Liles is the mother to two girls.
