About Christina E. Acocella, MD
Christina E. Acocella, MD, joined the team at New Britain OB/GYN, a Women’s Health Connecticut practice, in 2021. Dr. Acocella graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, with a BS in biochemistry and biophysics as well as a BS in biology and a minor in psychology. She then earned her medical degree from New York Medical College in 2013. During medical school, she was a performer in The Vagina Monologues. In 2017, Or. Acocella completed ger OB-GYN residency at UCONN. During her residency, she participated in a medical mission trip to Grenada in the West Indies. Prior to joining New Britain OB/GYN, Dr. Acocella worked at Reliant Medical Group. She is a member of The Society for Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has special interests in pelvic pain, endometriosis, menopause, fertility and fertility planning, adolescent medicine, high-risk pregnancies, general OB care, minimally invasive surgery, family planning, and general gyn care for women of all ages.
When not at work, Dr. Acocella enjoys cooking, exercise, trying new restaurants, hiking, and spending time with her husband and children. Currently, she treats women of all ages in New Britain and Southington. She is accepting new patients.
