About Laurah Michaels, APRN
Laurah Michaels is an advanced practice registered nurse with over nine years of experience providing quality patient care. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) of Danbury in 2012. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Waldon University of Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2021. She has been a member of the Infection Control Nurses of Connecticut since 2016 and a community partner of Dementia Friends CT since 2018.
Laurah has gained experience through years as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. Experiences like serving as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) from 2011 to 2013 and treating critically ill patients have provided Laurah with a keen compassion and understanding of the challenges that her patients face. Experience in the mental health space adds a mindset approach that puts her patients in a mental and physical position to succeed.
Joining the team at Women’s Health Connecticut, Laurah serves as a nurse practitioner at the Briar Rose Network in Bristol. Part of a diverse, passionate network of fellow healthcare providers, she is able to leverage her wide-ranging experience to provide expert care in a warm, supportive environment to every patient she has the pleasure of serving.
