Women’s Health Connecticut Joins State’s ‘Network of Distinction’ Program

Women's Health Connecticut (WHC), the state’s largest collaborative network of women’s health care providers and a division of Women’s Health USA, is proud to partner with the State of Connecticut on its ‘Network of Distinction’ program. In collaboration with Signify Health, a leading provider of technology-based healthcare solutions, Women’s Health Connecticut will join the state’s healthcare network offering an ‘Episodes of Care’ delivery and payment model for its 220,000 state and municipal employees.

Through this program, providers in the network will deliver improved patient outcomes at a competitive fixed price for care from evaluation to recovery. With more than 270 women’s health care providers and 90 locations statewide, WHC will lead the charge in providing state health plan members comprehensive pricing for ObGyn services. Specifically, WHC will offer state employee health plan and Connecticut Partnership Plan members a competitive fixed price for obstetrical episodes, including nine-month pregnancy through delivery and hysterectomy surgeries. Joining the network during its launch phase will further solidify WHC’s position as Connecticut’s premier ObGyn practice.

“Women’s Health Connecticut has a deep appreciation for partnering with Signify given its long-standing history of leadership in bundled payment initiatives,” said Nancy Bernstein, president and chief executive officer of Women’s Health Connecticut. “Our infrastructure of high-quality women’s healthcare providers can fully support the state’s efforts in advancing value-based care. We are the only state-wide women’s health provider here in Connecticut, which gives us a unique opportunity to help the state deliver meaningful savings in the women’s health space.”

Francois de Brantes, Senior Vice President, Episodes of Care from Signify Health added, “By participating in and qualifying for the Network of Distinction, Women’s Health clearly demonstrates their commitment to continuously improving maternity outcomes in the State of Connecticut. Signify Health is excited to partner with WHC and welcome them to the growing number of physician groups, hospitals and health systems that are willing to increase the quality of care in the state and make healthcare more affordable."

“It’s our nature and our history at Women’s Health Connecticut and Women’s Health USA to seek out these partnerships that make women’s health care better,” added Bernstein. “We’re expecting to extend what we do here in Connecticut with Signify Health to some of our partner groups across the country.”
