Women’s Health Connecticut is seeking an experienced Women’s Healthcare Mid-level Provider (APRN/PA/CNM) in Trumbull, CT!
Position: APRN/ PA/CNM
Location: Women’s Health CT- Obstetrics & Gynecology
Address: 5000 Main Street Trumbull, CT 06611
Employment: Full-time, 32- 40 hours
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 4- 5 days per week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care in fast-paced office consultations, including assessment, workups, triage, and other patient care activities.
- Obtains and documents health history, performs and documents physical exam, and orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
- Provides counseling to patients regarding diagnosis and expected course of treatment.
- Collaborates with physicians to provide appropriate direct care interventions within scope of practice.
- Collects, organizes, records, and discusses data as appropriate and uses sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards and evidenced based medicine.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals according to patient needs and conducts appropriate patient follow-up & outreach.
- Demonstrates commitment to ongoing education and improvement as evidenced by documentation of attendance at conferences, in-services, seminars, and committee meetings.
- Performs other related duties in support of efficient department operations and superior patient care.
- Colposcopies / IUD & nexplanon insertions / endometrial biopsies
- Seeing OB and GYN patients.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Licenses and Certifications: Required current CT Practitioner (APRN, PA, CNM) License with prescriptive authority. National Certification in Advanced Practice and current CPR certification. Training or certification in Women’s Health.
- Must have previous Ob/Gyn-Women’s Healthcare experience.
- Ability to work autonomously in fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in other languages highly desirable.
- Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Excellent clinical management skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take lead when appropriate
