About Sharon Husung
Sharon Husung is a skilled and compassionate physician assistant with an emphasis on labor and delivery, playing a vital role in managing the healthcare needs of pregnant and postpartum women.
She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with minors in Psychology and Chemistry, from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, in 2016. From there, Sharon went on to obtain her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Stony Brook University in 2019 and was inducted into the Pi Alpha honor society.
Before joining Women's Health Connecticut, Sharon grew her passion for patient-centered care through valuable experience as a physician assistant at New York-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns in New York, NY.
She served as a charge PA, responsible for managing laboring patients, participating in vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and responding to maternal emergencies.
Sharon's certifications include a Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, New York State Physician Assistant License, NCCPA Certification, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, American Heart Association Basic Life Support, and NYS Infection Control.
All of these experiences have cemented her belief that all women deserve access to kind, understanding, individualized care. Sharon has found a home at Women’s Health CT with a team that shares the same values and dedication to patients as she does.
