Hours per week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:15am- 4:45pm
Position Summary: The Patient Scheduler accurately records patient information, prevent double-bookings, and route patient calls to the correct department or individual. The Patient Scheduler position requires close attention to detail, impeccable phone etiquette, and working knowledge of common medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls, route calls appropriately, or redirect as needed.
- Greet patients and visitors while providing assistance in a pleasant and friendly manner. Direct to the appropriate greeting areas. Screen visitors for solicitation.
- Schedule patient appointments accurately accordingly guidelines as well as policy and procedures. Maintain follow up and wait lists as appropriate.
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely and thorough manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year of working experience in a medical office/environment.
- Required: 2-3 years of experience of as a phone receptionist.
- Call Center experience is a required, 2- 3 years is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Comfortability with multi-tasking with close attention to detail.
- Friendly, out-going, team-player attitude.
- Comfortable with learning new software systems.
