Women’s Health Connecticut is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist at Greater Hartford Women’s Health Associates!

Address: 345 North Main Street, Suite 201, West Hartford, CT 06117 (travel is required to the additional offices in Enfield, Glastonbury and Hartford)
Position: Medical Receptionist
Employment Type: Full-time (40hrs)
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm, occasionally late nights till 6:30pm
Position Summary: The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting and initiating the patient check-in process for all patients to ensure efficient and timely daily office schedules. The Medical Receptionist will also handle a high volume of incoming phone calls while working simultaneously with staff, Providers and patients.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet all patients and visitors.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
- Collect payments through various software systems.
- Utilize phone system, fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner for all office functions.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office appearance.
- Other general administrative office duties.
Skills/qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of prior experience in a medical office setting is required.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft applications, is required. Experience using EHR/EMR systems is a plus!
- Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
- Experience in women’s health preferred.
