Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Employment: Full-time or Part-time (flexible)
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8- hour shifts (flexible)
Reports to: Practice Manager
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates patient care with the practice location. The RN educates and advises patients and gives emotional support to patients and their families. The RN is “hands on” with performing physical examinations and diagnostic tests, helping perform minor in-office procedures, collecting lab work, and triages phone calls for the Providers.
Position duties and responsibilities:
- Nursing liaison between patients and health care professionals
- Patient history intake/ assessment and preparation
- Assist physicians as needed during patient visits with physical exam or procedures
- Postop recovery nurse for in office procedures with IV sedation anesthesia
- Oversee that QUAD A and Practice policies and procedures are kept up to date
- Assist in Training and updating all staff members; disinfection/cleaning protocols, OSHA standards, Fire Safety, etc
- Advise patients of recommended actions/course of treatment as directed by physicians
- Medication administration
- Lab assessment/data collection
- Document patient care and results in medical record in concise and timely manner
- Advanced telephone triage functions
- Preferable experience in obstetrics
Skills/qualifications:
- Current CT RN license
- Minimum of 1-2 years OB/GYN or Women’s Health nursing experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- ACLS certified
- Preferably NCCN certified for fetal monitoring/fetal non-stress tests
