Employment: Full-time, 40 hrs per week
Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 8:45am- 5:15pm, Friday, 8:00am- 3:30pm
Reports to: Practice Manager
Job Summary: The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients and assisting them throughout their patient experience within the practice. The ideal candidate will excel in managing a high volume of incoming calls, interacting with patients, staff, and providers effectively, and possess exceptional multitasking abilities. Position duties and responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet all patients and visitors
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Register patients and verify insurance eligibility
- Collect payments through various software systems
- Utilize phone system, fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner for all office functions
- Maintain a clean and organized front office appearance
- Other general administrative office duties
Skills/qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft applications.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- 1-2 years of previous customer-service based experience.
- 1 year of prior experience as a Front Desk Receptionist/Registrar in a medical office setting.
- EMR/EHR systems experience, is required.
- Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
- Ability to calmly handle stressful situations.
