About Matthew Nwosu
Matthew Nwosu, MD joined the team at Women’s Health CT – Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2022. He completed his undergraduate education at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, graduating in 1996. In 1998, he earned a Master of Science in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. In 2006, Dr. Nwosu earned his Medical Degree at Michigan State College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, MI. He then completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in 2013. Dr. Nwosu has a special interest in laparoscopy, and has training on the Da Vinci Surgical System.
Prior to joining this Women’s Health Connecticut practice, Dr. Nwosu was an Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician at Optimus Health Care in Bridgeport, CT. He was among the Bridgeport Hospital-affiliated physicians whose Press Ganey (2014) patient satisfaction scores were ranked in the 95th percentile nationally.
Notably, Dr. Nwosu has held positions at the World Health Organization and at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He is a Volunteer Clinical Faculty member at Yale School of Medicine, and was presented with clinical teaching awards at Bridgeport Hospital and St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Nwosu is currently accepting new patients in Trumbull, Fairfield, and Shelton. He provides a range of ObGyn services to patients of all ages.
