About Yanna Karabatsos

Yanna Karabatsos, MD, joined Woodland Women's Health Associates, a Women's Health Connecticut practice, in 2001. She attended the University of California at Berkeley and received her undergraduate degree in 1990. She later earned her medical degree from Michigan State University and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at St. Francis Hospital.

Dr. Karabatsos has been on the board of Physicians for Women's Health and Women's Health Connecticut since 2017, and has been on peer review at St. Francis hospital for several years. She is currently chair of MSQOC, an oversight committee that encompasses medicine, surgery, and women and infants.

Dr. Karabatsos' mission as a healthcare provider is to guide women through all stages of their lives so they can be their healthiest both mentally and physically, and to help each woman live to her unique potential. Her advice to patients is to always ask questions until you understand your health. "It's your journey, I am just here to help guide you!" says Dr. Karabatsos.

When outside of the office, Dr. Karabatsos enjoys riding horses.
