About Lauren Startz, CNM
Lauren Startz is a certified nurse midwife that earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2022.
Since earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008 from Saint Joseph College in Hartford, Lauren has worked in various women’s healthcare settings since 2014 as an Obstetric and LDRP nurse. During this time, she has gained tremendous experience working with patients and understanding their unique needs. Her track record shows a commitment to connecting people with the best possible level of care.
Prior to joining Women’s Health Connecticut, Lauren worked as a student midwife at William W. Backus Hospital, where she gained extensive hands-on experience in the full scope of maternity care. She holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), and National Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
Lauren is defined by her passion for empowering women throughout their healthcare journey, including gynecologic, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and post-menopausal health. Her experience as a certified nurse midwife allows her to inform her patients of the best evidence-based practices and to partner with them to deliver an individualized care experience.
Since joining the Women’s Health Connecticut team, Lauren has operated as a certified nurse midwife at Mansfield Ob/Gyn Associates at both Mansfield Center and Hebron, CT.
