About Elizabeth Kelly, MD
Born and raised in New York, Dr. Elizabeth Kelly was a two-time All American Squash player at Princeton University where she earned her B.A. in Psychology. Although she initially pursued a career in advertising, Dr. Kelly was compelled to return to medical school after volunteering at a children’s intensive care unit. She completed Johns Hopkins University’s Premedical Program in 2002 and earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2007 from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Drawn to the delivery room and the miracle of pregnancy and birth, Dr. Kelly completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She recently moved to the area after practicing in northern Virginia.
Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrician Gynecologists (ACOG), American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In April 2015, she joined Candlewood Center for Women’s Health and is committed to caring for her patients as individuals throughout each stage of life. Dr. Kelly is conversational in Spanish.
