Women’s Health President Nancy Bernstein Receives IWFCT Honor
Congratulations to Nancy Bernstein, President and COO of Women’s Health USA; and President and CEO of Women’s Health Connecticut for receiving the 2019 International Women’s Forum of Connecticut (IWFCT) Leadership Award. Each year, the Leadership Award is presented to an IWFCT member who has distinguished herself by bringing transformational leadership and positive change to her environment. Nancy will be honored at the 2019 Annual IWFCT Meeting on June 19.
The mission of IWFCT is to “bring together accomplished and professional women leaders of significant and diverse achievement and provide them with unique and innovative experiences that contribute to their support and advancement.”
The organization holds monthly events and programs across the state with a focus on networking, charity, and promoting stronger female leadership. The IWF global network is comprised of more than 7,000 exemplary women from more than 30 countries.
Prior to joining Women’s Health, Nancy held management positions at community and academic hospitals and health systems in the Northeast and Midwest. She previously served or currently serves on the boards of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Leadership Greater Hartford, Community Health Charities, Connecticut Center for Primary Care and United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.This spring, she was highlighted in a stand-alone piece by the Hartford Business Journal as a 2019 Women in Business Award winner.
